Step 3: Home Visit and Assessment
A Care Manager will arrange to meet you and the person needing the care in the home where the care will be provided. Other family members, or friends, are welcome to attend.
During this meeting, which can last up to two hours, we will discuss and agree the level of care needed. We will also review your property and complete a risk assessment.
At this stage we can give you an accurate cost of the live-in care service we will provide you, based on your needs and the risk assessment.
You will be asked what type of care worker you would prefer which may vary by age, gender and cultural background. We will ask you to review the profiles of the care workers who would be available. It is extremely important that we can match you with the right care worker. The care worker and the customer need to be able to get along and have a good relationship as they will be living in the same house.
